FIELD: railway transport; hopper cars.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of four-axle all-metal open hopper cars for carrying crushed stone and other loose materials. To make such hopper car use is made of closed hopper-concrete carrier car in which zone of roof separation is coated with liquid chalk with due account of height of cut of vertical and inclined walls, then body cut line is marked and fixed by center-punching to depth exceeding half of height of section of binding profile. Body is cut with separation of roof, edges are cleaned and then binding profile is applied and welded to body continuous seam. Non-planeness of binding profile is checked over car outline, and roof is furnished with box-type binding profile.

EFFECT: enlarged pool of rail cars.
