FIELD: transport engineering; provision of selective functioning as reduction gear at engine braking. SUBSTANCE: transmission has differential gear train connected through toothed rim with input shaft and cut-in planetary wheel. Reverse turning of planetary wheel is prevented by idle wheel. Carrier is connected with output shaft. Toothed rim and carrier can be interconnected by clutch set into action by upsetting by means of centrifugal flyweights and springs to provide direct drive. If value of clutch upsetting is sufficient to transmit definite torque, planetary wheel rotates at no-load and then is stopped by idle wheel. Under such conditions device operates as reduction gear and axial pushing force formed in engagement with helical teeth releases the clutch. Device can be forced to operate as reduction gear by piston of hydraulic power cylinder which pushes housing carrying centrifugal flyweights in direction of clutch release and upsets brake which prevents rotation of planetary wheel in any direction, even in direction normally provided by above-indicated idle wheel. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 22 cl, 10 dwg
