FIELD: aviation technology. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to aviation equipment, to systems of flying helmet target indication, to united systems of indication and target indication integrated with surveillance-aiming and indication systems ( television, infrared, radiolocation ). It may find use stands , trainers and game centers of commercial assignment modeling combat, natural and science or game conditions. Method includes determination of position of operator's helmet relative to axes of coordinates. Inertial system is installed on helmet. Setting of axes of coordinates of inertial system is carried out in agreement with initial position of helmet and absolute coordinates of operator are measured, for example, by point of installation of inertial system. Center of mass of this inertial system at moment of setting is adopted, for instance, as origin of coordinates of inertial system, orthogonal axes OX, OY of inertial system of coordinates are directed in horizontal plane, axis OX is directed to the north and axis OZ of inertial system of coordinates is oriented by local vertical. Method provides for expansion of field of measured coordinates of operator's helmet and removes dependence of field of measurement of coordinates on geometry of trainer cabin or cockpit of aircraft. Description gives example of realization of method measuring coordinates of operator's helmet in game center of commercial assignment. EFFECT: expanded field of measured coordinates. 1 cl, 5 dwg
