FIELD: special optical instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to systems of remote determination of orientation of mobile objects, it can be used for formation of robotic systems, devices establishing position of end-effector of manipulator and control systems where data on turns of operator's head are employed, visualization systems of simulators based on helmet indicator, virtual reality systems. Target indication system of operator has N reference radiation sources placed on operator's helmet where N≥3 which are combined in single unit with optical unit for output of indication to vision field of operator, optical location aid, unit forming target indication signals with unit correcting target indication signals, unit correcting target indication signals placed on base unit aboard aircraft. Photodetectors of optical location aid are positioned in zone located near symmetry axis of spatial figure corresponding to observation zone of operator, for example, pilot with change of position of helmet in process of functioning of system with employment of optical head of aboard indicator of windshield. Transmitters of optical location aid are installed on optical head of indicator with the help of bracket that has location seats for fixing transmitter of optical location aid, location seats can be adjusted to its turns to specified matching of coordinate system of optical location aid with direction of optical axes of optical head. Optical unit for output of indication carries reference elements put on helmet with the use of bracket. Location seat for installation of optical unit for output of indication can be adjusted to ensure movement in directions securing matching of zone of indication output with operator's vision field. System incorporates generator of modulation of reference radiation sources with frequency fN and pulse-position selector. Reference radiators are modulated with one frequency and phases of modulation signals of reference radiator are moved apart through value found in correspondence with expression Δϕ = 360°/N, where N is number of reference radiators.
