FIELD: cryogenic technology, test of vacuum systems for tightness. SUBSTANCE: cryospace is vacuumed to specified vacuum depth at constant rate of pumping. Tightness test is carried out by way of comparison of current pressure P2 with specified vacuum depth P1. During comparison cryospace is vacuumed with pumping rate S, where S=Qo•K/P1,, Qo is permissible flow of inleakage at working vacuum depth, Pa•m3/s; Q1 is inleakage flow at pressure P1 in tight cryospace, Pa•m3/s; coefficient K = Q1/Qo. Pressure in cryospace either grows which indicates lack of tightness or decreases which indicates tightness. Gear for implementation of process includes vacuum pipe-line having two parallel lines, one of them housing diaphragm of carrying capacity and the other one - shutting fittings. Vacuum gauge is arranged in pipe-line that connects pumping means with cryospace. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of process and efficiency of gear. 2 cl, 2 dwg
