FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed hygrometer is used to measure humidity of gases. It may be employed to measure low values of dew point of compressed gases directly under high pressures. Hygrometer has case, inlet and outlet gas lines, throttle, dew point detector and condensation mirror. Heating element is located in duct that feeds throttled gas to throttle. Throttle is fitted with temperature sensitive element which can maintain specified temperature difference between throttled gas and condensation mirror. As result accuracy of determination of temperature at which condensation of vapors starts is increased. Base of condensation mirror has cycloid shape which allows effect of deceleration of throttled gas to be avoided and rate of cooling of mirror to be enhanced.
