FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: box-shaped case of gas- discharge chamber is separated along gas flow path into front part accommodating pre-ionization electrodes with parallel side walls and rear part holding main electrodes where walls carrying cathode board and those mounting anode board are spaced apart though small angle along flow path; pre-ionization electrodes are placed in plane that forms angle of 30- 45 deg. to surface of front part of case; it also has two current leads connected to opposite ends of electrodes and mounted in insulating boards. Anode board may be built up of box-shaped sections arranged in single row and drawn out relative to inner surface of front part of case; these sections carry some portion of gas flow and may be provided with holes for passing gas; in row, sections may be slightly spaced apart. Inner surface of box-shaped sections is coated with catalytic gas-mixture reconditioning agent. In addition, insulation on electrodes may be of tubular shape with minimal clearance between tube and electrode; electrode-to-anode board distance is smaller then or equal to electrode-to-electrode distance; small clearance is provided between ends of electrodes and holding plates. EFFECT: simplified design, improved operating efficiency. 8 cl, 4 wgc
