FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: concentrator has compressor, pneumatic distributor, and two adsorbers. Adsorber outlets are connected to throttle outlets and oxygen collector inlets. Concentrator is also provided with control unit whose outputs are connected with controlling inputs of pneumatic distributor and normally closed pneumatic valve. Effective operation of adsorbers is chosen from following relationships: , hef-20r, Qk ≥ 25Q, and P1 > P2, where Qk is airflow in compressor outlet, l/min; hef effective height of adsorbers, dm; Q specified productivity of oxygen concentrator, l/min; α sorbent nature-related coefficient varying within the range 0.048 to 0.058; P1 gage pressure in adsorber outlet, atm; P2 gage pressure in compressor, atm; r adsorber radius, dm; c specified oxygen concentration in adsorber outlet, vol %; K1 and K2 exponents of power meeting inequalities: 0.41 < K1< 0.58 and Ц0.37 < K2 < -0.26.
