FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities; hardening of long-cut articles of aluminium alloys, such as plates, panels, sections and sheets. SUBSTANCE: device has crossmember with movable carriages installed on ends for moving along crossmember. Vertical posts of length not less than length of narrow face of article are rigidly connected to carriages from below by their upper ends. Each carriage has rigidly secured cylinder with piston and compression spring installed for movement along crossmember. Device provides holding of entire surface of article in process of hardening in one plane owing to constant tension force building pretensioning. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 4 dwg
