FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: sewage is directed to at least one reactor, purified at temperature higher than 15 C with chlorine-containing and/or chlorine-liberating matter. Chlorine is fed in amount of more than 1 g of chlorine per 1 g of CRA so that chlorine is present in chlorine- containing and/or chlorine-liberating matter at OH- to Cl molar ratio of greater than 1.5 and pH of equal or more than 6 for 0.4 h. Sewage is then purified in the subsequent cycle and/or withdrawn, and/or discarded from reactor. The present invention makes it possible to reduce costs. EFFECT: more efficient purification method. 25 cl
