FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; valve mechanisms for internal combustion engines with overhead camshaft. SUBSTANCE: valve mechanism has cam 1 engaging with lever 2. One end of lever 2 is pressed by spring through insert 3 to support 6 or hydraulic stop 7 rigidly installed on cylinder head 5. Hydraulic stop 7 has hole 8 communicating with engine lubrication system 9. Other end of lever 2 acts onto valve rod 12 through step bearing 11. Insert end of lever 2 acts onto valve rod 12 through step bearing 11. Insert 3 press fitted into lever 2 is provided with ring groove 13, slot 14 and hole 15 forming oil collecting space 16 communicating with lubrication system 9. Holes 17 made in lever 2 connect space 16 with zone of contact surface 18 of lever 2 and cam 1. Oil dispensing slot 19 of straight, sinusoidal and any desired shape is made on contact surface 18 of lever 2. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 2 dwg
