FIELD: engine manufacture; devices for igniting fuel mixture in internal- combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: spark plug has body, insulator, central plate, and ground plate with nozzle part whose surface is coated with erosion-resistant material. Inner space of body is cylindrical or conical turning into critical section of spark-plug nozzle part; diameter and length of this critical section are chosen between 0.22 and 0.91 and between 0.12 and 0.49, of maximum diameter of inner space of body, respectively; nozzle part is built integral with body; bottom part of central plate is of cylindrical or mushroom shape; the latter has cylindrical or rounded-off conical head placed with its base on insulator edge; diameter and height of cylindrical bottom part as well as diameter of base and height of mushroom-shaped head at bottom part of central plate are chosen depending on volume of inner space of spark-plug body and may be 0.19-0.98 and 0.26-2.27 of maximum diameter of inner space of spark-plug body, respectively; body is joined to insulator through plastic metal gaskets.
