Each station is assigned to specific service region. Each station controls digital cordless telephone which is located in its service region. In addition device has set of local control units which are connected to corresponding public-access base stations through public telephone network. Each local control unit stores information concerning base stations in its service region. In addition device has central control unit which stores information which concern corresponding cordless telephones. Central control unit responses to incoming call from public telephone network and finds cordless telephone which corresponds to this call, controls corresponding local control unit using public telephone network and provides servicing of this incoming call.
