SUBSTANCE: wireless network affords calling with burst data transfer between original mobile station and terminal one in wireless network coverage area. Wireless network has first base station establishing wireless communication with original mobile station, second base station affording wireless communication with terminal mobile station, and mobile communications switching center that functions to interconnect first and second base stations. First base station receives first message from original mobile station requesting call with burst data transmission between original and terminal mobile stations. First base station initiates establishment of call in response to first message including burst data transmission between mobile stations in local IP network that interconnects first and second base stations.
EFFECT: improved interconnection of mobile stations.
