FIELD: equipment for fire extinguishing by generating combustion inhibitors, such as aerosol mixtures. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has pyrotechnical charge generating aerosol containing ultradispersed condensed particles, preferably alkali metal salts, during burning. Pyrotechnical charge is placed into casing through ablation heat-insulating layer containing sodium hydrocarbonate which is endothermically decomposed to produce additional combustion inhibitors. Aerosol mixture is delivered through nozzles equally spaced along casing cover perimeter into cooling cylinder mounted for axial movement relative to casing. It allows injection gap value to be regulated depending on combustion rate of aerosol-generating charge. EFFECT: increased efficiency in cooling fire extinguishing mixture by effective geometrical ratio of apparatus members, compactness and improved strength. 4 dwg
