FIELD: volume aerosol fire extinguishing. SUBSTANCE: aerosol generator has heat-shielding body with blasting cartridges. Body is closed with cover carrying igniter and provided with ablation interlayer and outlet nozzle. Generated aerosol includes gaseous products and highly dispersed particles - burning inhibitors diluted with incombustible vapor-gas products of endothermic decomposition of ablation interlayer, all of which suppress fire seat in closed volume. A distinguishing feature of the invention is compact coaxial design arrangement of generator members that ensures successive step cooling of gas-aerosol flow inside body receiver, cooling unit cylinder and sleeve receiver which is installed inside nozzle with guaranteed clearance and embraces the body. Ablation interlayer is located in sleeve. Blasting charge is made in the form of blasting cartridges located equidistant round cooling unit. Ratio of receiver volumes are quantitatively optimized to provide for effective lowering of temperature of generated gas-aerosol mixture. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
