UNIT FOR CLOSED CUTTING OF ROLLED MATERIAL Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: closed cutting of such rolled materials as paper, polyethylene film, metal stripe into bands. SUBSTANCE: unit includes two shafts 1, 2 rotating in synchronism in opposite directions. Immobile disk blades 3 and disk blades 4 mobile along shaft are put on shafts. Working edges of blades located on adjacent shaft interact. Mobile and immobile blades alternate on shafts. Unit is supplied with spring-loaded pushers 5 arranged over circumference and intended for simultaneous withdrawal of working edges of mobile blades 4 from proper working edges of immobile blades 3 when mandrels are replaced. Cheeks 9, 10 contacting in process of cutting and providing for necessary stable spacing between immobile blades that is required width of band are put on shafts. EFFECT: alternation of mobile and immobile blades and presence of spring-loaded pushers ensure simplicity of replacement of blade units for different dimensions of cutting. 3 dwg
