ROD-TYPE MIXER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: preparation of raw material mixtures in manufacture of building materials, refractory and chemical materials. SUBSTANCE: mixer includes fixed housing with inlet and outlet branch pipes, revolving perforated drum with metal rods, blades secured on the outside of drum and drive. Total area of perforation of mixer ranges from 0.22 to 0.65 of surface of cylindrical portion of drum; mixing blades are located on drum over helical line. Mixing blades may be mounted on one half of drum and on other half of drum over opposite helical lines for concentration of material in center of mixer at unloading branch pipe. Mixer may be provided with housing and drum located at angle of 3 to 12 deg towards unloading side. Blades may be mounted over inverted helical lines relative to rotation of drum. Rods of mixer may be made in form of steel pipes whose ends are blanked off with metal plugs. EFFECT: enhanced operational efficiency. 4 cl, 5 dwg
