FIELD: mechanical engineering; packing of articles arranged in one or several rows. SUBSTANCE: articles are wrapped in two film tapes 1, 4 which are welded by means of welding clamp 14. Articles 12 are moved to two film tapes 1, 4 by pusher which extends the tapes after feeding displacement. Each film tape 1, 4 is held stationary by hose brake 7, 8. Welding clamp 14 moving downwards to complete wrapping of film 1, 4 around articles 12, extends finally upper film 1. Parts of film 1, 4 projecting beyond articles 12 are subjected to thermosetting by means of nozzles directing hot air onto articles 12. Proposed invention provides accurate and attractive packing and makes it possible to use thin films with decorations for packing. Expenditure of film is reduced by 30-35%. EFFECT: enhanced packing. 8 cl, 3 dwg
