FIELD: packing and packing materials. SUBSTANCE: according to invention, first plastic band 10a and second plastic band 10b are brought close to each other and are constantly interconnected by simultaneous application of heat and pressure to form laminated material 10. First and/or second band consists of or has thermoplastic coating 12 which is extruded at temperature exceeding normal melting temperature of extruded thermoplastic. Prior to joining the bands they are passed through high- frequency alternating electric field to promote adhesion without the use of any chemical binder. Method comes to use of rollers 20 and 21 differing in hardness. Roller 20 of lower hardness is arranged for displacement relative to roller 21 of higher hardness so that clearance between rollers 20 and 21 through which joined bands are passed can be adjusted to provide required pressure and clearance of definite width or size in longitudinal direction of bands as a result of penetration of roller 21 of higher hardness into surface of compressed relative soft roller 20.
