FIELD: equipment for producing ultrafine powders of metals and alloys by gas-phase process and applying metallic coats in vacuum onto metallic and non-metallic products. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes cylindrical screen-heater with openings for vapor outlet, end covers-electric current leads, container for melt arranged coaxially inside cylindrical screen-heater and it is in the form of separate mutually joined cylindrical cells forming vessel for liquid melt. Novelty is structure of cells that allows due to a large number of cells to multiply increase surface of evaporated liquid and to produce high-quality ultrafine powders.
