FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: according to method, coal seams in formation are mined in descending order by long columns along strike with partial branching of emitted gas by outflowing stream from stoping section. At extracting of above-lying seam, created is gas-collecting vessel. In function of gas-collecting vessel it is possible to use worked-out space of coal seam or system of draining drifts. Formed are routes of gas flow from lower-lying coal seam to gas-collecting vessel. Stoping face in lower-lying coal seam is arranged under gas-collecting vessel and created in it is pressure differential towards gas-collecting vessel sufficient for overflow of gas. Methane-air mixture is sucked-out from gas-collecting vessel. Filtration routes can be created by drilling through interlayers of bore-holes or by drilling in interlayers of bore-holes with subsequent creation of directed fissures extending to gas-collecting vessel and to roof caving zone of lower-lying coal seam. At mining of lower-lying coal seam, methane-air mixture is collected in upper part of roof caving vault and due to pressure differential it is filtered in bore-holes, natural fissures and hydraulic fracturing fissures to reach gas-collecting vessel on above-lying coal seam. From that place, mixture is evacuated by gas-sucking facilities for further industrial utilization. Application of method improves gas removing efficiency with possible substantial increase of load at work face. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 4 dwg
