FIELD: gas industry, particularly underground shaftless underground coal excavation used for underground flat-laying or inclined coal seam series gasification along with degassing thereof.
SUBSTANCE: method involves prior degassing coal seam series via horizontal or inclined holes drilled in overlying 3 and underlying 1 seams; igniting and gasifying underlying 1 seam; degassing zone of overlaying seam 3 rock pressure B relief during underlying coal seam gasification; regulating degassing time of overlaying seam 3 rock pressure B relief zone by regulation of rate of fire front line propagation over underlying coal seam 1, wherein initial length of overlaying seam 3 rock pressure B relief zone is determined from mathematical relationship with the use of regularities determined for normal superimposed seam development technology with long-pillar method; delivering methane produced during accompanying degassing to consumer and/or in coal combustion zone.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of overlying seam degassing due to control of rock pressure relief, fire front line propagation and degassing time.
