FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: machine has case 1 with high- pressure chamber 2 accommodating drive and driven screws 3,4 which are in mesh and are mounted on shafts 5,6. The latter are mounted in supports 7,8 and coupled through synchronizing gears 9. Chamber 2 communicates with inlet and outlet pipes 10,12. Case 1 accommodates circulating-oil chambers 18,19 separated from chamber 2 by means of seals. Machine is provided with radial and axial thrust release facilities. During thermal-to-mechanical energy conversion, desired proportions of condensate mass m1 and coolant mass m2, coolant volume in transfer of thermal energy to be converted into mechanical energy are maintained. These proportions are determined by adequate choice of geometry of high-pressure chamber 2 and screws 3,4. EFFECT: improved design. 8 cl, 4 dwg
