FIELD: engine manufacture. SUBSTANCE: rotary engine has at least one compartment with two sectional cases having cylindrical cavities and coolant cavities; each section accommodates two rotors with bladed pistons and spark plugs. Power mechanism of each section incorporates cardan joints arranged on either side of sections and linked with shafts of other section through two pairs of gears. One pair of gears is coupled with section shaft and other one, with output parts of cardan joints; admission and exhaust ports are made in each section. Cylindrical cavities communicate through slanting ducts; power mechanism of each section has four cardan joints; shafts of sections are coupled through two pairs of synchronizing spur gears, two gears per section shaft. Radial and end gaseous gaps are packed with contactless labyrinth seal; caps with sleeve bearing shells are installed on tenons of cardan joint spiders. Gear wheels of bevel and spur gear transmissions are provided with flexible wear- resisting casings following shape of gear teeth; shells of cardan joints and casings of gear transmissions are mounted for lubricant supply under pressure. EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption and toxicity of exhaust gases, improved power and increased service life of engine. 6 cl, 4 dwg
