FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, which may be used in home and production conditions, in particular, hand-held fire-extinguishers ejecting fire-extinguishing substance under the action of excessive pressure created during burning of gas-generating solid charge. SUBSTANCE: fire-extinguisher has gas generator with pyrotechnical charge provided with cavity into which gas generator initiator is introduced without coming into contact with pyrotechnical charge. Gas generator has metal capsule with igniter applied to its inner surface, flexible sealing member above metal capsule and metal wire whose one end is coiled to define spiral and other end is passed through capsule and flexible sealing member and connected with starting cord.
