FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: acetic acid is distilled off from ammonia-acetate waste obtained after separation of powdered copper from copper-ammonia solution at residual pressure 0.1-0.3 atm in presence of alkali component in amount 0.415-0.75 mol/l. EFFECT: increased completeness of acetic acid isolation and content of impurities in acetic acid distillate reduced virtually to zero. 1 tbl
