FIELD: electronics engineering. SUBSTANCE: material of invention is applicable in thermoelectric generators, cooling elements, and heat pumps. Material is prepared from charge containing iron, silicon and alloying agent in the form of copper or aluminum powder. Synthesis is carried out in planetary mill with acceleration of grinding bodies 600-1000 m/O3-FeSi2 for 15-30 min. Alloying agents are added in quantity up to 12 mol % (Co) or up to 10 mol % (Al), and annealing is conducted at 780-880 C for 3-5 h. EFFECT: improved working characteristics of material.
