FIELD: transport engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: device has storage battery 1, solenoid switch 2 with normally open contacts 3 and generator plant disconnecting contacts 4, current relay 5 with normally closed contacts 6, capacitor bank 7, electric starter 8, contacts controlled by starter motor speed transmitter, normally closed contacts 9, normally open contacts 10 and ignition system disconnecting contacts 11 controlled by engine crankshaft speed transmitter, ignition switch 12, generator plant 13 including generator with field winding and voltage regulator, cold starting relay 14 with switch 15 connected so that positive terminal of storage battery 1 is coupled with first output of normally open contacts of cold starting relay 14, positive terminal of generator plant 13 and, through normally open contacts 3 of solenoid switch 2, normally closed contacts 9, winding of current relay 5, parallel connected normally closed contacts 6 of current relay 5 and normally open contacts 10 and electric starter, to negative terminal, one of terminals of capacitor bank 7 and terminals of windings of solenoid switch 2 and cold starting relay 14. Second terminal of capacitor bank 7 is connected to point of connection of windings of current relay 5 with its normally closed contacts 6, normally open contacts 10 and second terminal of normally open contacts of cold starting relay 14. Second terminal of cold starting relay 14 is connected through switch 16 to third terminal of ignition switch 12 and second terminal of current relay 2, and second terminal of switch 12 is connected through normally open contacts 11 to ignition system, normally closed disconnecting contacts 4 of generator plant 13, field winding and voltage regulator, to negative terminal of storage battery 1.
