FIELD: internal-combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: current relay and speed sensor included in starting system enable charging of energy storage capacitor after successive trial not from very low voltages across capacitors (and probably from no voltage) but from higher level. Engine starting consists in a set of trials between which capacitor bank feeding starter motor is charged from storage battery. EFFECT: improved efficiency which makes it possible to use low-capacity storage batteries, that is, reduce mass and size. 1 dwg
