FIELD: identification means and decorative elements. SUBSTANCE: index sign has base- mounted transparent panel bearing identification marks on its surface, non-transparent layer that does not cover identification marks, and metal layer; rear surface of panel has depressions. Novelty is that identification marks are coated with additional non-transparent dark layer, depressions are made in the form of cavities located between pointed structures separated by boards, their tops being directed away from rear surface; non-transparent layer is light-colored and applied to boards between pointed structures; metal layer is made of material possessing easy-reflection properties and is applied to side surfaces of pointed structures. Index sign is manufactured by molding in dies implementing proposed process. EFFECT: improved identification efficiency. 22 cl, 2 dwg
