FIELD: magnetic materials. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when manufacturing composite materials in medicine, radio electronics, computation engineering. Inorganic iron salt interacts with oxalic acid in aqueous medium in presence of an organic substance providing solution density between ρ 1.1 and 1.45: glycerol and/or a monosaccharide, and/or a water- soluble polymer with targeted biological activity. Method is distinguished by preliminarily combining inorganic iron salt and organic substance solutions. EFFECT: increased dispersivity and corrosion resistance of oval-shaped iron magnetic powder having hydrophilic surface and exhibiting bactericide activity. 1 tbl
