FIELD: chemical material science, more particularly preparation of crystalline aluminum oxide for multifunctional purposes. SUBSTANCE: phosphated crystalline aluminum oxide comprises aluminum oxide and alumophosphate organic substance of general formula I:[-Al(PO4)R-]n wherein R is alkyl, aryl, alkylamine radical having hydrocarbon chain of 3 to 18 carbon atoms, n is at least 2, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: alumophosphate organic substance of general formula I, 0.5-10.0; and aluminum oxide, 99.5-90.0. Phosphated crystalline aluminum oxide is prepared by treating aluminum oxide in aqueous medium at room temperature under stirring first with orthophosphoric acid to pH of medium of 4.5-6.0, organic matter which is ionic surfactant in amount of 0.005-0.2 wt % of weight of aluminum oxide, and then with polyelectrolyte or water-soluble polymer in amount of 0.01-1.0 wt % of weight of aluminum oxide. Organic matter is alkyl ammonium or acryl ammonium salt in which radical has hydrocarbon chain of 3 to 18 carbon atoms. Catalysts, polymeric compositions, anticorrosion coatings and polishing compositions have high service characteristics. Method makes it possible to reduce power consumption and is ecologically safe. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 5 cl, 4 tbl
