FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to reconstruction of buildings by adding garret stories. According to method, three-dimensional modules used for construction of garret stories incorporate components of external walls, flooring slabs, and components of roof covering which are provided with pivoted joints at levels thus allowing for folding of structural components to horizontal position for their transportation. For bringing to mounting position, system of structural components is unfolded due to turning frames around pivoted joints. Tight joining of three-dimensional modules to each other is achieved by tensioning of ropes reeved through longitudinal metal pipes in frame of external walls. Application of aforesaid method improves technological efficiency due to reduced periods of erecting garret stories in reconstruction of dwelling buildings without moving tenants to another location.
