FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: according to method of measuring bottom-hole parameters of well, floating container with measuring and recording apparatus is dropped into well. Bringing container to point of measurement is achieved by actuation of mud circulation. Container is fixed at point of measurement by disengagement of mud circulation. After measuring of parameters being investigated, container is released by repeated engagement of mud circulation. Sel-contained indicator has tubular member with openings and with centering member inside it. Located in its lower part is supporting seat with through-passages and protrusion. Located in lower part of floating container is fixing mechanism with hole in its lower end for interaction with protrusion of supporting seat. Also provided is detent with tooth for interaction with lower centering member. Application of aforesaid method and device allows for increasing accuracy in measuring parameters being investigated.
