FIELD: gastroenterology and coloproctology. SUBSTANCE: method specifically takes into account damage of pancreas for subsequent prophylaxis of possible conjugated pathologic process. Blood serum of patient suffering by diverticular disease of large intestine is incubated with homogeneity of pancreatic tissue of experimental animal in presence of complement and concentration of malonic dialdehyde is determined both in control and reference samples. From difference between the two values obtained, one can predict development of disease and, when large intestine is decreased by 20% as compared to that in normal individuals, complication of large intestine diverticulosis by chronic pancreatitis is predicted. EFFECT: increased reliability of prediction.
