FIELD: radioactive waste disposal. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is designed to convert radioactive ash residues into monolith state. Apparatus contains furnace housing provided with cover consisting of horizontal and tilted parts with internal angle between them 140-170 deg. Housing encloses V-shaped unsymmetrical tip-over bottom. Side wall of housing has loading hole disposed above the higher level of tip-over bottom. Gas duct to remove effluent gases is disposed in tilted part of furnace housing cover near the side wall of casing. Plasma burners are disposed on horizontal and tilted parts of cover perpendicularly to their surfaces. In bottom part of housing is channel to pour out melt. EFFECT: simplified structure, reduced power consumption, and increased operation safety. 1 dwg
