FIELD: treatment of radioactive wastes. SUBSTANCE: unit has plasma shaft furnace and gas-cleaning system. Plasma shaft furnace has shaft 9 and homogenizing chamber 17. Shaft 9 has charge lock assembly 10, air cooler 11 in top part of shaft, as well as two oxidizer feeders 12 (upper) and 15 lower). Built in shaft furnace is fuel injector 16. Gas outlet channel 13 is provided in central part of shaft to discharge gases. Compressed air is admitted through device 14 provided in shaft. The latter also has vertical plasma-fuel generator 18 as well as bottom and top drain holes closed with shut-off locks and drain channels. Gas-cleaning system has afterchamber, cooling system, filter, and heat exchanger, all arranged in tandem. Heat exchanger is connected to scrubber, tank, and second heat exchanger.
