FIELD: acceleration equipment, formation of high-power highly homogeneous beams of band geometry. SUBSTANCE: gear incorporates high-voltage pulse generator and body housing magnetically insulated diode. Diode has cylindrical electrodes with guides having race track geometry. Anode is solid and is connected in symmetry with high-voltage generator. Anode has dielectric coat on one of flat sides. It is symmetrically placed into cathode composed of two identical closed parts transparent for magnetic field, spread axially and forming gap opposite to dielectric coat on anode. Coils of magnetic field are positioned inside parts of cathode. Parts of cathode have electric contact and each is joined to body in symmetry. Symmetric connection of anode and parts of cathode in current circuit of generator corrects inhomogeneities of electric and magnetic fields in region of generation of ion beam and by this raises efficiency of generation of beam of ions and its homogeneity.
