FIELD: preparation of disinfecting and washing solutions, purification of natural and technological waters and sewage, preparation of liquid remedies. SUBSTANCE: technical result of proposed process lies in improvement of technical-and-economic indices of electrolysis process thanks to growth of relation of duration of action of constant component ensuring electrolysis process to duration of action of variable component ensuring depolarization of electrochemical system. With this in mind forward and backward pulses of current are formed by imposition of constant component of current of source on variable component so that action period of power supply of electrolyzer combining duration of action of variable component and duration of action of summary pulse formed by imposition of constant component on variable one is regulated with provision for duty ratio Q of summary pulse inside period within limits of 1 <Q 1 < Q ≤ 2. 2. Gear for realization of proposed process has electrolyzer, transformer, stabilized two-pole power supply source, pulse generator, key controlling thyristors and full-wave rectifier with capacitors that shunt one diode and one thyristor.
