FIELD: seismic prospecting for mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: method is aimed at increased profitability for direct search for oil and gas fields and improvement of ecological situation. In agreement with it natural seismic background is registered by three components by means of two geophones as minimum before and after generation of seismic vibrations with frequency of 0.1-70.0 Hz. Availability of oil and gas deposits is evaluated by increase of area under curve of spectrum of seismic background over all three components after generation of seismic vibrations as compared with starting one.
