FIELD: converters for power transmission lines and DC butt-to-butt links, electrified transport, electric metal- working and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: combined rectifier has two turn-off and two turn-on valves connected into two parallel circuits and capacitor inserted between these circuits; turn-on valves are controlled devices which are turned on simultaneously with turn-off ones; width of their control pulses is greater than capacitor discharge time and smaller than space between turn-on and turn-off pulses of turn-off valve. EFFECT: improved operating reliability of rectifier incorporated in converter running as rectifier or inverter with any positive and negative control angles. 2 dwg
