FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: both substations of newly constructed DC power transmission line incorporating bipolar line of control and regulation device are designed so as to generate control pulses at which twelve-phase converters of one power transmission half-circuit operate at regulation angles α1 in rectifier substation and β1 in inverter substation while twelve-phase converters of other half-circuit operate at angles α2 = α1+15° deg. and β2 = β1+15° deg., respectively. Such arrangement reduces content of higher harmonics in three-phase current of substations; harmonics of n = (2k - 1)12 1 = 11, 13, 35, 37, ... order in three-phase current of substation are several times lower than in that of twelve-phase converter. EFFECT: provision for dispensing with filters to improve characteristics of three-phase current in substations. 5 dwg
