FIELD: information encoding and transmission, in particular, for information retrieval systems, recording, radio and TV broadcasting. SUBSTANCE: encoding method involves generation of encoding signal as non-rectangular periodic pulses according to synchronization pulses, multiplication of analog signal by constant factor which is greater than zero, and its addition to shift constant in order to achieve compiled signal. First claim of invention describes method which involves multiplication of compiled signal by encoding signal and by constant positive factor and comparison of resulted signal to reference constant signal. Second claim of invention describes method which involves addition of compiled and encoding signals and comparison of resulted signal to reference constant signal. Third claim of invention describes method which involves comparison of compiled and encoding signals. Decoding method involves generation of decoding signal according to synchronization pulses. According to first claim of invention this decoding signal is equal to ratio of encoding signal to constant positive factor. According to second and third claims of invention this decoding signal is equal to product of encoding signal and constant positive factor. Then method involves fixing values of decoding signal in moments of step leading edge. According to first claim of invention ratio of difference of reference constant and shift constant signals to constant factor is divided by value of decoding signal, and product of factor to constant shift is subtracted from result. According to second claim of invention value of decoding signal is subtracted from product of factor and difference of reference constant and shift constant signals. According to third claim of invention value of decoding signal is subtracted from product of factor and shift constant signal. This provides discrete values of converted analog signal.
