FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to phase measurement methods of electrical signals and can be used for certification and calibration of phase meters, phase comparing instruments in a frequency range. A method for discrete setting of a phase shift between two monochromatic harmonic initially synchronous signals is based on a linear dependence of a current phase of a periodic signal on the time obtained as a result of signal frequency shift; with that, frequency manipulations are performed immediately at digital synthesis of a frequency-shifted signal, and a frequency shift value of a shifted signal and time interval duration, for which it is performed, can be changed and are controlled. The device includes a unit of reference frequencies, a strobe shaping unit, a central processor, two identical channels made based on a calculated synthesiser.
EFFECT: enlarging range of working frequencies, improving setting accuracy of a phase shift angle and reducing its reproduction discreteness.
