FIELD: production of construction and composite materials in chemical industry, electrical engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: process consists in such supply of starting material that its end freely protrudes from feeding gear by specified length of section to be chopped off, in chopping of section by high-velocity stroke and in pneumatic removal of chopped section by suction which direction coincides with direction of feed of starting material. Device for implementation of process includes feeding gear, chopping member put of driving shaft of its drive, carrier of chopping member anchored with one end on driving shaft of its drive and chamber of pneumatic removal of chopped product manufactured in the form of nozzle facing feeding gear with funnel and linked with narrow part to vacuum pump. Body of drive of chopping member is anchored on other end of carrier and chopping member is made in the form of plate, disc, spider or any other flat member.
