FIELD: working fluids for refrigeration systems. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to corrosion-inhibitory fluids for refrigeration systems whose corrosion-inhibitory activity is caused by metal-corrosion inhibitors present in system in contact with working fluid. Working fluid for absorption refrigeration systems contains aqueous solution of at least one compound selected from group including lithium bromide, lithium chloride, lithium iodide and ammonia, molybdate from 10 to 500 ppm (as molybdenum) and borate from 1 to 10000 ppm (as boron), normality of solution being 0.05-0.07 N. Working fluid may also contain from 1 to 20 ppm of silicate (as silicon). Preparation of working fluid consists in preparing aqueous solution of at least one compound selected from group including lithium bromide, lithium chloride, lithium iodide and ammonia and adding to this solution, as corrosion inhibitor, water-soluble compound including molybdate in quantity sufficient to provide concentration of molybdate in solution from 10 to 50 ppm (as Mo) and then water-soluble compound containing borate in proper amount, and hydroxide in amount providing normality of solution between 0.3 and 0.2.
