FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a heat transfer fluid for motor vehicles. Described is a heat transfer fluid concentrate comprising more than 90% by weight and less than 99% by weight of a freezing point depressant, 16 to 80 ppm of magnesium ions, an azole compound, inorganic phosphate, carboxylate and acrylate-based polymer. Said concentrate has pH of 7 to 9.5 and does not contain silicate, borate and amines. Weight ratio of acrylate-based polymer to magnesium ions ranges from 1 to 25. Liquid-coolant using said concentrate is also described.
EFFECT: invention provides duration of protection of cooling systems by improving stability of heat exchange properties and protecting metals from corrosion over a wide range of temperatures and operating conditions.
