FIELD: nanotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology and can be used in making probes for fluorescence imaging, as well as in optically detected magnetic resonance. Method of producing nanodiamond doped with an element of group 14 includes alkaline treatment of a nanodiamond composition containing at least one element of this group, and nanodiamond doped with an element of this group, with removal of an element of group 14 and its oxide, where said element is selected from Si, Ge, Sn and Pb. This composition is obtained by detonation in a sealed container of an explosive composition containing at least one explosive and at least one compound of said element of group 14. Explosive composition can additionally contain a compound containing at least one third element selected from B, P, S, Cr, Al, Li, Na, K, Cs, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ti, Zr, V, Nb, Ta, Mo, W, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Ag, Zn, Cd, Hg, Ga, In, Tl, As, Sb, Bi, Se, Te, Co, Xe, F, Y and lanthanides. Nanodiamond doped with an element of group 14 and said third element can be additionally treated with a mixed acid consisting of concentrated nitric and sulfuric acids before or after alkaline treatment.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain nanodiamonds doped with said elements and purification thereof.
