FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: system has ground-based surveillance radar system radiating ordinary radar signal and radio beacon interrogation signal. Radar system receives echo signal reflected from target skin and coded signal of target identification. Coded identification signal is transmitted by retranslator secured on transport facility, for example on aeroplane, in response to radio beacon interrogation signal received. Retranslator may be positioned in housing of external light signalling device of transport facility such as light signalling device warning about aeroplane collision. Since dispatches of airport ground traffic are provided with data on electronic ground survey of airfield including data on location and identification of transport facilities, given system enhanced transport facility control in airport.
